1. About us and these terms

This website is operated by GMT Surgical Limited (CRO 775924, VAT IE 04351270EH), 33 Innismore, Crumlin, Dublin 12, D12 V8P9. These terms govern your use of this website and, unless a separate written agreement applies, all quotations, orders, repair services and product sales supplied by GMT Surgical. Our services and products are supplied to healthcare businesses and professionals, not consumers.

2. Use of this website

Website content is for general information only and does not constitute clinical, technical or professional advice. We aim to keep information accurate but do not guarantee it is complete or current. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, or copy content for commercial use without our permission.

3. Intellectual property

All website content, text, graphics and logos belong to GMT Surgical or its licensors. SonoScape and other product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used with permission.

4. Quotations and orders

Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. An order is accepted only when we confirm it in writing or supply the goods or services. Prices exclude VAT, which is charged at the applicable rate. Product specifications may change in line with manufacturer updates.

5. Repair services

  • Customers must decontaminate all instruments and equipment before sending them for repair, and supply a signed decontamination certificate. We may return or refuse items that are not accompanied by one.
  • Where an item is assessed as beyond economic repair, we will contact you before carrying out any work. An assessment fee may apply if you decline a quoted repair.
  • Repairs are carried out to the original manufacturer’s specification where possible. Repaired items are covered by a [90-day] workmanship warranty, which excludes misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and incorrect reprocessing.
  • Items not collected or paid for within 90 days of notice that the repair is complete may be disposed of.

6. Product sales (including SonoScape ultrasound)

New equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty, the terms of which are provided at delivery. Risk passes to you on delivery; ownership passes when payment is received in full. Please inspect goods on delivery and report any damage or shortfall within 5 working days. Returns of non-faulty goods are at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking fee.

7. Payment

Payment is due within 30 days of invoice unless agreed otherwise in writing. We may charge interest on late payments under the European Communities (Late Payment in Commercial Transactions) Regulations 2012 and suspend further work until overdue amounts are paid.

8. Delivery

Delivery and turnaround times are estimates only. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, manufacturers, parts availability or events outside our reasonable control.

9. Clinical responsibility

Customers remain responsible for the clinical use of all equipment, operating it in line with manufacturer instructions, training staff appropriately, and carrying out any required acceptance testing before clinical use.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the goods or services concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue or use.

11. Links to other websites

We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites linked from this site.

12. Changes, governing law and jurisdiction

We may update these terms at any time; the version on this page applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
